Overall 116" high x 29" diameter Original glass globe silkscreened “Globe” on white ground with yellow border and blue world map dissected with gasoline trade name “Globe.”

With glass cylinder edged in black enamel with black cloth hose and brass nozzle. Visible decals of large vertical gold “Visible” and “Fry” red white and black, including gold “Guaranteed Liquid Measure Co., Rochester, PA Patented” on door. Attached reproduction Fry pump paddle with wood and brass handle.

Condition: Restored with original parts, unknown if assembled globe and base (or originally together).

Based on information that the “Globe” glass globe is 13.5” lens, 17” x 16” dimensions

Note: Red has traditionally been the favorite color as only a few colors were used for early gas pumps. The Mae West style/waisted shape is also very popular. Globes were glass and silkscreened. The appraiser found no information that this style/brand globe has been reproduced. The most recent “Globe” sale in May 2018, Morphy Auctions sold with buyer’s premium $4,480 Average ebay.com offer prices with various restorations and no original globes - $6,900 - $12,500 inquiry sent on condition of globes and asking prices for various other styles up to $18,000.
