Marked on base of chair – Congress Pedestal Hydraulic, Pat. Dec 8, 1881; Koken Barber Supply Co., St. Louis Oct. 22, 1885; Dec 3, 1901 Peach upholstery, with upholstered headrest over a round back with nail-heads, the upholstered arms and nail heads terminate in an oak scroll arm, round seat, connected by metal floral and scrolls over a round seat, matching lever. The leg rest of peach upholstery, foot rest of Art Nouveau 30’s type floral with “Koken’s Supply Co.” St. Louis, curved, raised foot rest of metal scrollwork – “Koken” centered. All on a columnar pedestal wood base and matching metal wood colored edging.
